I've had the great pleasure to work alongside Steve on a number of ITV Wales programmes, including 'Vanished Wales', 'Penscynor: Life on the Wild Side' and the award-winning documentary 'Stories From The Strike'.

Steve is a dynamic, instinctive and highly creative camera operator. His attention to detail is formidable and he will always 'nail' the perfect shot in any given situation. As an added bonus, he is an absolute pleasure to work with - polite, friendly and wonderful with contributors.

He has a passion for the moving image and the boundless energy to match. When viewers read the name 'Steve Thomas' on the end credits of a programme, they know they've just watched a beautifully filmed piece of television.

"I first encountered Steve from MixMEDIA when he was my documentary cameraman some years ago.

He subsequently ended up filming for me in a very turbulent Irish Sea on an RNLI lifeboat, complete with a live link to the unit on shore. He got one chance to do his job and he did it outstandingly, in very trying conditions.

Some time later I needed a trailer cut at very short notice and discovered that Steve is not only an accomplished camera operator but that he is oustanding in the editing suite.
